Mary-Catherine joined the ACLU of Mississippi as a Policy Analyst in March 2025. A native of Byram, Mississippi, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences from Mississippi State University and a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration.
Mary’s passion for voting rights and elections led her to intern with the Bipartisan Policy Center and Common Cause, where she gained valuable experience in election policy and administration. Prior to her role at the ACLU, she served as a Research Program Specialist at the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, contributing to the administration and development of the biennial Election Administration and Voting Survey, collaborating with state and local election offices across the U.S. During her graduate studies, she co-authored the paper Trust-Building Campaigns on Social Media During the 2022 Election Cycle, which was funded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Election Data Science Lab.
Outside of her professional work, Mary-Catherine enjoys spending time at the Ross Barnett Reservoir, volunteering, and relaxing with her cat, Olivia.
