On December 1, the Center for Reproductive Rights will be representing Jackson Women’s Health Organization, the last abortion clinic in Mississippi, challenging Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. This case is a direct challenge to Roe’s core holding: that every person has the right to decide whether to continue their pregnancy prior to viability.
To demonstrate support for abortion rights, SHERo, Mississippi in Action and Planned Parenthood Southeast are hosting an Abortion Freedom Fighters rally. The Abortion Freedom Fighters are asking supporters to arrive at Smith Park (250 N West St Jackson, MS 39201) at 12pm CT.
