Legal Symposium - 50 Years After the March on Washington: Where Are We Now?

The federal judiciary, led by the Supreme Court itself, is compromising the laws that the March on Washington helped produce. Where are we fifty years later in our attempt to realize the dream of justice and equality, and what is the prognosis for the future?

Nationally renowned civil rights litigator, Dennis Parker, Director of the ACLU National Racial Justice Program will speak on the current state of racial justice jurisprudence in the United States. Mr. Parker is a Harvard Law School graduate and has argued before the US Supreme Court. He is an adjunct professor at New York Law School where he teaches classes on race and social justice. Mr. Parker previously served as Chief of the Civil Rights Bureau in the Office of the New York State Attorney General.
