Since 2021, Mississippi voters have been denied the power to fight for change in their communities through the ballot initiative. SCR 514 would restore this power to the people.
Unlike HCR 11, which places restrictions on the scope of initiatives that citizens can bring, including a complete ban on any legislation concerning abortion access, SCR 514 empowers the people without restriction.
