BATON ROUGE — Details surrounding the shooting last night of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, continue to emerge. In reaction, ACLU of Louisiana Executive Director Marjorie Esman issued the following statement:

WASHINGTON — In a 4-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court today upheld the race-conscious admissions program at the University of Texas at Austin. The ruling means the school will be able to continue using race as one of multiple factors in admissions decisions.
