Candi Richardson joined the staff of the ACLU of Mississippi as Director of Communications and Community Engagement in June 2023. She is a native of Greenville, Mississippi and a two-time graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology & Audiology and a Master of Science in Communications.
Prior to her role at the ACLU of MS, Candi served as the first Sales and Marketing Director of Pulitzer Prize awarded, non-profit newsroom, Mississippi Today, where she launched a strategy for earned revenue across multiple platforms, co-produced an interview series, Mississippi Stories, and led marketing efforts across the state. She is the former Corporate Relationship Director for United Way of the Capital Area where she managed their largest fundraising initiative, the annual workplace campaign, social media marketing, and corporate engagement outreach.
Candi lives in Byram and has a 7-year-old daughter, Elle. They attend Relate Church. She is passionate about mission-driven, impactful work that will create a just and equitable state for her child and all children to grow up in.
Her other interests include physical fitness and she is a certified Pure Barre instructor.
